Well, actually Vector got the lowest score in our pool and he was ranked 38,777th so I guess 66th was pretty high.
I safely assumed not a lot of people participated being that Americans hate football and non-Americans hate ESPN.
Those are two broad generalizations of course.
I also vividly remember choosing Holland as my Champions as well beating Spain in the semis and trouncing Portugal. Glad they did the brackets in such a way that each round was a clean sheet.
... Actually kind of hated that too. That's what I like about the NCAA Tournament where there are 64 Teams and you pick every single round at once. That way when the point system is higher towards the end, it means so much more when you picked an upset.

i remember predicting 4-1, netherlands - france.
i told it to my mates in the bar and they thought i was a little optimistic.
afterwards they called me a fool for not putting any money on it!!!

YAY!!!! What a great match (from the Spain side)!!!
Plus ... I won the pool!!!
PAY UP SUCKERS!!!
... Oh wait ... we didn't play for money, heh.
Ended up getting #66 overall which is pretty high I guess. Out of the 100 people on ESPN who probably participated, haha.

Didn't see it, don't care about football, but...
Walking through Piccadilly Circus earlier, I couldn't help but be pleasantly struck by the merry, enthusiastic atmosphere created by all the drunken, cheering Spaniards. It made me consider what a different world it is we we live in, where a large amount of foreign people, in the middle of London, celebrate the result of a football match between two foreign teams from hundreds of miles away.
So - good job, Spain and well done, Germany.
We are all the better for your efforts.
