It's shameful i've put off putting together a portfolio for so long. Any recommends on a good (reliable/affordable) web hosting company?

Godaddy
- +1, cheap and reliable.organic_grid
- shady business, they like to steal domain namesacescence
- godaddy is shite. complete and total shite.fugged
- for the love of God don't use Godaddy hosting. Buy domain, but no hostingzaq

Media Temple?

Media Temple. However, I'd recommend the (dv). The grid is basically waiting to become the (cs) because of its various instabilities.

i have used www.siteflip.com for years with no complaints. only $12 per year. only get email support though so if you need a lot of help, maybe look elsewhere. site says 100megs storage but it is 2.5 gig... they updated services but not the site.

i absolutely love www.bluehost.com
amazing customer service (in the USA) and their rates and features are hard to beat. plus, their affiliate program is amazing!

Brinkster.
The only problem I have with them is that they won't let me host www.FuckYouCandy.com on their servers.
But that's about it, and cheap for having MSSQL (on top of MySQL).

Research different companies and setup your own VPS. Common to get $50 - $100 a month for plenty of room.

Dreamhost
http://www.dreamhost.comIf you don't care about the occasional downtime (although nothing has ever affected me, personally, I think it bothers those people who have lots of client sites hosted). Dreamhost is better if you want something cheap, and if you want to host a personal portfolio site.
