I've never been to Europe before, I'll be staying in Milan from about July 3rd - 10th and then try to get to Paris 10th-15th Any suggestions on decent priced hotels in Paris, or transportation to get there? I was looking into sleeper cars... I have a ticket for the Last Supper already... Any suggestions on more contemporary galleries in Paris than the Louvre? Thanks.

Milan
why the fuck are you coming here?
- e-pill0
be careful of theives on the trians, even "sleeper cars" can get robbed so watch out for your items, and keep all travel documents on your body over in some bag that is over your head. when the trains go thru a tunnel the lights in the car go completely dark and this is when theives just simplly walk in those sleeper cars and take those bags just about your head.
this happened to me and a friend of mine not too long ago on a trip in Italy and France.

Italian girls?

If you like to share bedrooms. Doesn't get cheaper (maintaining quality) than this in Europe. Nice for travellers.

ahahahahhahaha italian girls,
I won't generalise, but don't think you'll get some action here,
first you don't have enough time to meet the parents,
second: are you white (if you're rom or middle eastern looking you're screwed
third: are you rich as hedge?- AHAAHAH - "you don't have enough time to meet the parents"Corvo

Then, galleries in Milano
Palazzo Reale, Triennale, Fondazione Mazzotta and Spazio Oberdan they do temporary exhibits
triennale: http://www.triennale.it/If you have time you can check
- Pinacoteca di brera (loads of saints but some notable pieces in there).
- Galleria d'arte Moderna (modern art gallery) same as above: loads of not really interesting stuff with few higlights (check "il 4 stato, and Boccioni and Balla stuff in there)

Seriously, Milano and Paris...go downtown then all you need is to aim for any direction and let the city speak for itself.

Milan. go and check the library at 10 corso como, the triennale and hang out around sempione and/or the naviglio for some drinks!
If you have time I would take the train to go see the Como lake for one day... Just chill out in Varenna (sippin' drinks) or stay on the lake side boats and beaches. Will be great in July.
