Lawn bowling? I love you, kelpie.
When I was about 11 I stood atop our house holding aloft the remote control for a toy car, trying to attract the fork lightning, to no avail. I sadly loped down stairs and explained what I'd been up to to my Dad, to which he responded - "So, what if you'd been successful?". I hadn't thought that far ahead.
- haha, yeah - I videoed the spanish storm with my phone held aloft for 15 minutes till I realised wtf I was up tokelpie

Lawn bowls rocks. Great way to spend a sunny afternoon, particularly with added alcohol

My grandad used to be big into his lawn bowls - I wish I'd been old enough to try and inherit his bowls [oo-er] before he passed on.
To this day, one of the only 'sports' I enjoy watching on TV is bowls - the grace, poise and majesty are largely unrivalled by any other televised sport. I've had many an argument with 'friends' about this - they largely write it off as a pointless and a bit dull, to which I respond '..and football is?'.
When I grow up and move away from this filthy city, I'ma definitely going to take it on.
