Hello folks,
With Adobe Type Manager Deluxe discontinued (and the ATM light version not doing the actual 'activating/deactivating) of fonts - and me running XP64 (doesnt work with ATM deluxe), I am looking for another reliable font/type manager...
Anyone?

I use fontfrenzy and it works like a charm. You can activate/deactivate fonts etc. And, it is free

I have used Extensis Suitcase for some time, its not bad but not free either.

linotype fontexplorer > does it also handle postscript fonts?

hmmz, it doesn't exist yet for WIndows (i.e. the beta testing period has finished and therefore isn't downloadable anymore for now)
We have recently completed the beta-testing phase for the Windows version of our free font management application, FontExplorer X! We would like to thank all customers who have been using our FontExplorer X for Windows beta version. Your feedback has been invaluable. Since our testing period has ended, we have removed the free download of the beta Windows version from our website. As soon as the new version is released, free downloading will resume. Check back on this website for more details about the next stage’s imminent release, or subscribe to our monthly LinoLetter e-mail newsletter!

yeah, the windows version disappeared a while ago. I wonder if it wasn't Vista compatible so they removed it?
But yes it handles OT, PS1 and TT fonts. So much nicer than suitcase fusion IMO.

Linotype Fontexplorer rocks it.

Yeah, FontExplorer was buggy as hell, I definitely paid the price for trying it out. I use BitStream Font Navigator that came with CorelDraw on Windows, does the job.

i'm thinking of ditching Lino Fontexplorer.. been trying to like it for a couple years now but its lacking some features compared to Suitcase and FAgent.
Like a convenient easy way to to temp activate fonts... really miss the temp button in Suitcase.

I use Extensis Suitcase. My only issue with it is that you can't browse fonts in multiple folders at one time like you can do with other apps. You have to individually go into each folder to see the preview. Personally, I'd look into another, cheaper solution.

So far i have shortlisted:
- Extensis Suitcase
