  To counter Raniator's point a bit - Translating scans of drawings or sketches into vector can be quite fiddly and I often find myself using my Wacom to trace over in Illy. It's deeply inefficient, but seeing as I don't possess an artist's skill, it allows me to undo/redo as many times as I need to get right.

  Besides which, you can pull off some really nifty shit in Photoshop if you fiddle with the brush settings and make use of the tablet's sensitivity levels.

  i dig what it can do. it takes a bit of getting used to, but it has usefulness with certain things and feel it is limited for other tasks.

  there is definitely an argument for handdrawn / scan

  but if you can develop a skill with it it can be a useful resourse

  have one. i barely use it, but now and again i'm like dammit i wish i had it set up, but i dont really have to space to just let it sit out (have the biggun)
