I think calling it art is stupid... although I think his point is solid. It's a little radical (um... letting a dog starve in a gallery...) but he does have a point: had he not done it, nobody would have given a shit about that dog or any other dog in the street. So I guess while the point is valid, the execution and presentation was just un-called for and unnecessary.
