Indeed, it's kinda silly and pointless, but great execution nonetheless. It's kinda like popping virtual bubble wrap.
The game is made by Moppi Productions who's quite talented in the demoscene. Check out their screensaver based on the Assembly 2004 invite. I used to run it on dual monitors. Looked cool.
