Their live shows have always impressed me. The last few albums have not. Thumbs up though.

For me rock has mostly sucked since 1994, maybe '95...seriously, what have we had? Emo? Nu-metal? And now kids have rediscovered bad 80's thrash metal? I haven't heard one new original idea in rock since that period of time that started with Jane's Addiction/Living Colour/Faith No More and ended with Cobain putting a bullet in his head. 88-94. Last Great period of creative rock...
- I think you need to expand your listening selection then... wow :Pkult
- OK, I'm being a curmudgeon. There are exceptions.TheBlueOne
- Like what? Radiohead?TheBlueOne
- I agree, but every generation has a story like this. It's called getting older.Jnr_Madison

fucking blow. I know he started the whole jaw rock thing, but I couldn't stand it then, and I can't stand it now.

I remember seeing pear jam, soundgarden, chilli pepers and ministry at a lolapalooza in the early 90's. Between that and seeing Alice in Chains (RIP Layne) in a small venue in 91 or 92 I don't know what was my favorite concert experience.
I haven't followed Pearl Jam much since VS. but I like to break out there stuff every now and again.
Oh and Yellow Ledbetter if a frickin awesome song.
To be honest I have been really uninspired by anything in the "rock" genre for a number of years now.
- Yeah, the first two years of Lollapalooza were awesome.TheBlueOne

I got to see them in solider field when they were fighting with ticket master. the sound kind of suck (because it's a giant bowl) but the show was good overall

a few years ago someone posted this russian fan site that had a ton of bootlegs for downloading. I got some great live PJ sets there. Anyone remember that link?
- fooler0
plus they usually have kick ass poster design (not sure why their album covers suck so bad, floating avacado, stock NASA images, etc etc...although Vitology packaging was nice.)

Another generations' Eagles...
hahahahahahaaa
- huh?madirish
- never liked them. It was pounded into my head for 2 years when I was painting bicycles in the 90's.mrdobolina
- alternative rock radio in the early 90's was nirvana, pearl jam, alice in chains, repeat repeat repeat. I still like Alice in Chains though.mrdobolina
