Nice place to raise Kids. The rain really sucks ... we had some really "teasing" weather this Spring. I am on pills now.

I recall the tease. This weekend was sure nice though. Hard to work today.

It is hard to work every day.

Move to Bend, Oregon. Wait - nevermind, don't come here and ruin it.

Bend is nice, but very small. I think you'd really have to be an outdoor nut to get the most out of it.

I'd like to move to Hood River Someday, maybe keep my place in Portland or a loft in the Pearl and a summer home in Hood River.

great idea. Hood River is beautiful, and just far enough away from Portland to feel far away. Plus you're so close to Mt. Hood. I've got a house here in PDX and a little condo and the coast for getaways, which I rent out when I'm not there.

i've been here in LA for almost a year and am thinking of making a move. we want kids but don't want to raise 'em in LA.
portland's awesome, went there as a kid a bunch when my mom was a flight attendant for eastern and they had hubs in atlanta and portland. i always loved it. not sure how the mograph scene is though.

So, I have an interview for a Portland job as an interactive designer... and I'm trying to figure out what's normal for salary there. Would it be too much to ask for 65k/yr if they ask for salary req? I hate negotiating...
