    Nicholas Negroponte a pioneer in the field of computer-aided design, he is perhaps best known for founding and directing MIT’s Media Lab, which helped drive the multimedia revolution. At the first TED Conference in 1984 Nicholas Negroponte foreshadowed the CD-ROMs, web interfaces, service kiosks, the touchscreen interface of the iPhone.
