This is driving me nuts.
I have a flash document with a dynamic text box that loads html text from an external file. I've done a few CSS stylings in flash. One or two change the size of the font. When I call them they cause the line to break (return). I want a small link followed by a larger one. But they go to seperate lines even though I don't use the <br> command in the text doc.Any ideas?
Oh and I'm embedding a custom font in the flash file.

the external file is XML?

try loading the text as CDATA

In XML doc, you have a similar issue if you copy/paste text from a .doc file. What you have to do is to delete the space between two lines of text and use the number of </ br> you need to break lines.

is it a problem with the width of the box? maybe its making it return because it doesnt fit on one line?

post the files, we'll check it....=)

The problem doesn't occur if I don't change the size of the text. The text will just naturally go to the next line (the dynamic box is set to Mutliline Wrap).
Here's a sample of the Flash CSS:
with (mainMenuStyle) {
setStyle("generalText", {
color: '#AFB1B3',
fontSize: '16'
});setStyle("largeHeadline", {
color: '#AFB1B3',
fontSize: '56'
});
}And heres the text file:
myHTMLdata=<largeHeadline>Urban Design,<largeHeadline><generalText>Commercial, Mixed Use, Studies.</generalText>In the text above it'll appear like this:
Urban Design,
Commercial, Mixed Use, Studies.When it should be like this(with Urban Design larger):
Urban Design, Commercial, Mixed Use, Studies.Thanks for help so-far.
- something funny here, do you need to close the large headline tag? </largeHeadline>ian
- Sorry I have. Still doesn't work though!

It will definitely be far more easy if you use XML + css...
