Anyone know of a service (in London) where you can pay by the hour (or whatever) for unlimited use of a T1 internet connection?
Like an internet cafe, but for people who need to transfer rude amounts of data quickly.

can they not supply the data on a drive and have it biked over mike?

We just need to do it. I'm not gonna bother explaining why.
Simply put, we need to transfer about 1 terabyte about every two weeks. Biking it to the data centre is what we're trying to avoid.
We could pay for our own fibre - but that seems drastic. We'd rather use someone else's, and pay for that service if indeed it exists.
- how much are leased lines these days anyway? a lot i'm guessing.********
- about 6k per annum.
we only need it for 4, maybe 6 months though.********

Back in the dial-up days, you'd use someplace like kall-kwik to use ISDN.
We need the modern day equivalent...

i know of several services here in the US that will allow for scheduled, determined bursts of bandwidth allowances; this is a sort of 'common' service for major email/web campaigns i know. not sure of any in the UK though, sorry.
