Here's the sit. I have Guitar Hero 2 and 3 for the 360 but I'm getting tired of them. I hear great things about Rock Band, but I don't want a whole set up in my living room. Should I sell my Guitar Heros and pick up Rock Band? Worth it?

Has anyone played Rock Band only using a couple instruments, like a guitar and a mic? Or 2 guitars?

dude - do NOT sell your Guitar Hero stuff. If you have the GH3 wireless guitar, it works with Rock Band. I have both, and both are fun for different reasons. You'll miss the difficulty of GH3 if you get rid of it, as most of the songs in Rock Band aren't nearly as hard to play. Rock Band is awesome with other people, even if it's just one other to play bass with, and the songs are a great mix of rock genres, plus you can download great new songs every week. I find myself playing Rock Band more, but only because I've gotten as far as I can get in GH3. I can't beat Lou on the Hard difficulty setting. It's ridiculous.

I'm in the same boat...I've pretty much played the hell outta Guitar Hero. Finished hard and now on to expert, but its starting to bore. Just seems like there are a ton of new songs weekly on Rock Band, plus a lot more options. I have the GH2 wired guitar...would that work with RB?

If for no other reason, Rock Band is awesome because you can get three friends and fake-rock out together. Nothing like a bunch of 30-40 somethings rocking out while pretending to play music. Our band was weekly Sunday night gigs in the "drummer's" basement. Good times.

So the question is...is it worth picking up Rock Band if I'm only going to be using one guitar to start? I'll probably add on a second guitar or mic soon, and although the drums would be cool I don't have the space at the moment. So is it worth it with just a guitar or two?

Back in SF I had a group of guys, we used to jam together alot, all of a sudden they stopped showing up for a few months, so I invited them over for a BBQ and they brought their freakin x-box over, me and my drummer cousin were like "WTF!!"
Silly wabbits.

I'm swaying between GH3 and Rock Band. I'd have nobody to play them with but the wife really (since we're hundreds/thousands of miles from home and friends) but I'd only really try guitar/bass and drums. But $170 for Rock Band is steep entry price. But check this shit! How much fun would this be?
