I'm one of 5 people who loved the Monster album.
I didn't love this.

SO many people panned Monster at the time, I loved it though. I just thought this was too standard and lacked the harmonic song feel that I love about REM.

Actually I heard Accelerate yesterday and really liked it. Sounded way more like old school REM than later, shite REM. I think they knew this would be make or break for them. Also the new Black Francis mini album sounds more like the Pixies than anything else Frank Black has done in years. Old school revivals, I'm loving it.
