  Am trying to figure out a better typeface for the word "specialties" - any suggestions? Design ideas?

  Try Dax bold all caps. The rounded corners of that font will fit nicely.

  I like the leftside simpler versions more... but feel that the wings are a little limp & lifeless and don't integrate as well as they could with the wordmark. Also, and I appreciate the downplay background, i think 'specialties' is too small.

  Might be really tacky - but have you tried angling or perspectifying it at all? just imbue a bit more motion or dynamism in or something - it just feels a little too clean and simple.

  Or maybe that's a good thing. I have, once or twice in my life, been wrong.

  The blue is little soft for a racing product.
  The type and wing graphic is too edgy for a gender bender shop.
