perfect thread for a quick question.
I am about to purchase a EOS 40D kit. I found the kit with two options for lenses. Option on is the EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM for $1664.95. Option 2 is the EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM for $1329.95. It option 1 really that much better of a lens? Or should I just buy the body and get a lens separate?

I have a sigma 10:20 for a few weeks now and it hasn't really come off ever since ... I have a nikon d40x which means the auto-focus motor is in the lens. This makes it a bit bulkier and with the standard flash you get an shadow on the bottom of your pics...
