  my nice soft earplugs
  extend my slumber

  my new foam earplugs
  son is waking up downstairs
  my wife will get him

  the bed is so warm
  bright orange earplugs stop sound
  time is transfixed

  I am not concerned
  fear of a prowler unheard
  sleep trumps all worries

  lying on my side
  my warm and flattened pillow
  drives earplug deeper

  for just four dollars
  my new set of six earplugs
  starts my day refreshed
