now we just have to find a way to blame bush for this one

failure to allow an organization like FARC to run rampant, by supporting a govt whose policies are helping lead it's country's people out of the drug trade and into a valid economy, is hardly a reason to blame the US...but it is a nice attempt at shifting blame

    • The US Government alllows and the drug trade to exist and flourish in the US, be for real.utopian

Too many double negative there for me to get your point, but I hear ya - I was just adding a counter to your shrill sense of persecution.

"The two presidents may remain political foes until they end their terms in office, but they are unlikely to become military ones, if only because most Colombians and Venezuelans do not have the stomach for it."

"Colombia's vice president claimed during a U.N. disarmament meeting Tuesday that the leftist guerrillas were trying to acquire radioactive material that could be used to make "dirty bombs."

Oh come on..Bush's little toady down there is dropping all the WMD/Terror code words now. What? Cheney couldn't get his dick hard enough to get Iran so he'll settle for Venuzuela? What another oil rich nation that the US can invade? It's so fucking transparent that it's a joke...

"State Department Deputy spokesman Tom Casey said Monday that the United States hopes the two countries will solve their differences diplomatically."

Something the US didn't even try to do with Afghanistan or Iraq.

This again is a failure of the Bush administration to create: fair, thoughtful, inclusive and meaningful foreign policies with other nations. The Bush administration has neglected to show global leadership and as a result, countries like South America and Africa have been at war or are going to war! While the U.S. spends billions upon billion of dollars, resources and our militiary is isolated in Iraq. It's call "christian fundalmentalism" similar to the Nazi's "The Third Reich" aka New World Order. The conservative Republican's have a political philosophy and ideology called "Neoconservatism".

don't you see the pattern here
Saddam wanted to stop selling crude oil in US dollar > false accusation > WMD > Occupation > hanged
Iran > wants to stop selling crude oil in US dollar > false accusation > "UN sanctions" > most likely another occupation
Venezuela > Is currently stopping to sell crude oil in US dollar > now accused of supporting the FARC
most of those accusation are bogus, they play on fear and division

Colombia is the South American country that received more US Money/Military material to fight the "drug war" (btw that war is lost too) and is a permanent base of the US empire in South America

go wonder why they're using such a similar fear tactic
