  do you think 2 $100 lcds would give u more to work with or you need the quality?

  I like dell screens but my last geforce messed up my screen so i dont know u should look at the dell site and see how many fools had issues with screens and vid cards

  a few years ago, when I was looking for a monitor, i found out that the Apple Studio monitors had the exact same innards as some of Dells monitors, but for 2x's the cost and 1/5 the warranty. Apple clearly has great design, but I opted for the money savings. Do some research, might still be the case.

  i got the dell 1908 wfp with ultrasharp. only $250. color looked horribly shitty when it first arrived, but after calibrating it properly... mmm the color is so rich. best i've seen (better than apple cinema display in my opinion, but i'm just a newb). i think it depends a lot on what model you get.

  Dells are allright, just make sure what type of panel is used. I never remember panel type names, but I remember the model in question is the cheap kind, good for gaming but bad with colors. 2407WFP-HC was prolly the best 24" for design.
