How did Rataoullie beat out Surf's up for Best Animated Feature Film? What is the criteria? Is it all story or all animation? Surf's up had the best water animation ever. Great lighting and textures. The surfing was also close to the real thing. Closer then these other Hollywood surf flicks. Ratatouille, I didn't see anything I haven't seen already.

Everyone was talking about Ratatouille more and people kept saying that it was a "shoe-in". Maybe it was based on popularity and because of Pixar. I can't really say, since I didn't see any of the animated nominated films.

yeah i dug ratatouille... but i wasnt blown away like when i saw the incredibles or finding nemo... never saw surfs up

i would say that the lighting and colors and camera angles of rataouille were insane!

I think Ratatouille blows away every other 3D film thus far, in terms of characters/writing/visual style/etc.. Just me. :]

Nothing ever matched Toy Story. That was the pinnacle. Peak Oil for animated moofies. I stopped watching after that. Burned my TV, shot my hands off, walked the streets naked screaming armageddon for a week, and then went home and tried to put my life back together. Its been a long and hard road and sometimes its felt like I would never make it back, but now, thanks to some Strappon plastic hands and a new flame proof TV from Sanyo, I'm ready to WHAT THE FUCK AM I TALKING ABOUT HERE.
