Oh Man, poor Grooverider. That is very harsh. He doesn't deserve that. I bet the government don't try and help him get home like they would if he was a teacher or an aid worker. They'll all look at it and think "Hmmm, at last, an excellent fable to drive the anti-drugs message home to the target audience" and they'll leave him sat over there for the duration of their "look what happened to grooverider" campaign.

.003g? I've probably got more than that stuck in my teeth on any given day of the week.

Nice to see the middle east is just as racist as everywhere else. I guess suspicious = black.
for sikma - fancy machines:
"Customs authorities are using highly sensitive new equipment to conduct extremely thorough searches on travellers and if they find any amount - no matter how minute - it will be enough to attract a mandatory four-year prison sentence."
Mrs Wolthuizen added: "We even have reports of the imprisonment of a Swiss man for 'possession' of three poppy seeds on his clothing after he ate a bread roll at Heathrow.
Cat Le-Huy
Held: A campaign is underway to secure the release of Cat Le-Huy from a Dubai jail
"What many travellers may not realise is that they can be deemed to be in possession of such banned substances if they can be detected in their urine or bloodstream, or even in tiny, trace amounts on their person."

woah, that totally sucks AND blows both balls AND ass..
poor guy..
We had him play at our clubnight back in 91, and it's been great to see him still cutting it these years later..
Stupid stupid mistake - why do these places think they can just ride roughshod over people's rights to genuinely make a mistake..
If you're not allowed to have the stuff, which is fine and up to them, then just take it away, theres no need to police the fucking world.
Cunts.

AND....99% of bank notes, of which the uae has mountains of, are contaminated with cocaine, so they're all fucking guilty including the people that arrested and tried him.
Fucking fucking cunts.

nice way to promote culture. tolerance is necessary to let cultural initiatives and creativity (and thus boost innovation and economy) florish, as many modern economies acknowledge.
the UAE, like most countries in that region, despite their crystal clear architecture and western ambitions, are still at least a century behind on the rest of the western world.
