Am I crazy? There's hardly any similarity between these two sites. A grid of video clips. That's about all I see being similar. I did a grid of video clips for British Airways way back in 1997 for a global interactive experience called Videospace. It never made it into production, but still... god damn, you fucking ripped it off.
Also, that one guy there uses black. I fucking used black way back 1985. Fuck off my props you blaggards.

I think the conclusion here is that they have taken the original design and improved on it immeasurably. Happens all the time.

truthfully I dont think this makes much sense it's not a rip off.. it's a similarity. They clearly are different. Their are people in boxes do you want me to show you sites with people in boxes because if thats your claim to intellectual property I bet you can find like 6 trillion sites that do the same. Now seriously... urban outfitters has been known to rip people but this to me isn't a case of it.

The Urban Outfitters UI is clearly ripped-off from "Cicatriz". Hey designers, how do feel when your work is ripped off especially when then improve on your UI & design as Urban Outfitters have done.
Considering the fact the Urban Outfitters has a nice size creative team and budgets for new UI design, are publicly traded and make millions of dollars a year in profits, they should at least try to be original. Shame on them.

They should at least put the progress bar somewhere else imo.

even when the designs were arguably similar i didnt see the big deal.
prove they stole the idea, or find a piece of "borrowed" code, otherwise they just happen to both be taking advantage of flash
