I prefer the title "Pretty Maker"

I'm not keen on the titles Experience Designer and UI Designer. Typically ones I encounter are more information architect than designer.

CCO = Chief Creative Officer
CCD = Chief Creative DirectorI feel titles really have no value. A CD at one company may not have the same roles as a CD at another. And way too many young creative people throw around the AD title, when a lot of them have no clue as to what the role of an AD actually entails.
At my company we purposely leave titles off of our business cards.
- Especially at a small agency, everyone does everything so titles are meaningless.adev

Call yourself a designer and be done with the "creative naming" horse shit.

WUHCD = Washed Up Hack Creative Director.
you know, the guy who's been a creative director at a traditional agency since the 80s, then suddenly hops on board at a digital agency and starts throwing his weight around, but knows absolutely nothing about digital medium, interactivity, etc.
if said individual was also taken out of an environment of 200 talented subordinate designers and forced to create his own work, it would look like shit.
said individual makes 5x more than everyone more talented then him.

I think when you are a freelancer, you get to pick whatever title you like, and in some cases you need to for the purposes of perceived image.
Or it could be a load of arse, and people don't think twice about it.

wow! there are tons and tons being made up or created.
you know the danger of having all these titles really fcuks up how we are being paid as it creates pay-limits based on these "new" titles limiting income.

Associate titles... i.e. associate designer, associate creative director.
I think it's sort of a junior title, but where the junior isn't appropriate (i.e. you never hear of a Junior CD, but an Associate CD isn't uncommon.)
