National City just swallowed up my bank.

wamu attracts people because they don't charge atm fees

Do you do both checking/savings through ING?

Just savings. My brother-in-law does both with ING, has no problems. I don't keep much money in checking - so I wouldn't earn much interest on it if I moved it over. Not enough to cover the ATM fees I'd get hit with, at least.

I have an orange savings account with ING - not quite as liquid as a regular savings account - takes 2-4 days for money to transfer.
My other accounts are at a local credit union

US Bank does fine by me.

New Milford Savings Bank which morphed into NewMil Bank which was then bought by Webster Bank which is now turning off customers to Salisbury Savings bank. At least, I think that's where my savings account is. I have no other accounts.
And quite honestly, they suck at what they do. Every time I look at my statement there's several new transactions (deposit/withdraw of the same amount) because they used the wrong account #. The biggest mistake I got was $7k but they caught it and took it back before I noticed. !@#$

i used to have ING Orange but it was a bit pain to transfer in and out from there. So I use Citi for everything now, including checking, e-saving, mastercard, and amex. I've accumulated about 140k thank you points so it's hard to let it go.
i figure eventually, many banks will get bought out by either citi or bank of america.
- Yeah, I'm thinking something like that's the easiest. Doing it all with one bank. Citi gives you points for accounts?CincodeMayo
