You're actually the first person I know who gives this film a positive review. Havn't seen it myself.

Here's the soundtrack by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis. Hope the link works.

I like Brad Pitt... can't stand Casey Affleck...
... C. Affleck only seems good when he's expected to play a 'punk kid'... he's got the Affleck smirk down (makes you wanna haul off and kick him in the junk when he does it... )
... he's like... the Derek Jeter of the film industry.

what is this movie? is this the one affleck directed?
just watched the mexican again the other night. pitt is funny as shit in it, i think hes pretty cool, usually in good roles... casey is certainly the cooler of the afflecks, but i cant say ive ever seen much of him to really form an opinion

Actually seeing this tonight. Unfortunately I can only make the 9 o'clock show and I'm feeling pretty knackered now. Coffee extravangaza coming up.

it's rather slow moving but quite brilliant. very terrence mallick inspired i suppose and if in the right mood, it is thoroughly enjoyable. cinematography alone makes it worth watching. although i wish they had focused more on jesse james than they did.
the soundtrack by nick cave and warren ellis was my favorite part of the movie.

I managed to stay awake. Pretty easy considering how good the film was. Loved the pinhole camera stuff and I thought Brad Pitt gave probably his best performance ever. My only complaint would be the appearance of Nick Cave as a bar musician. It just made me jump out of the movie temporarily because, hey, it's Nick Cave. Which just goes to show how well the 'stars' of the movie did as I totally believed their characters and motivation. A strong film, fantastic cinematography, excellent cast and haunting soundtrack.
Deserves Oscars.

I saw this one as a private screener. I thought it was good.
