restaurants on South Beach are great. I'm a big fan of A Fish Called Avalon.
CALLES can help you with more.

why are you getting tattooed on vacation - that would cut out sun exposure & swimming?

hmmm... I am sure that you will make it down to the Miami Beach Area at some point. i basically never leave the beach unless is some art show or good party in the design district or downtown area.. i never go to ftl... but what i will do is i will find out what is going on those dates that is worth for you to come down... i do know some bad ass artist in FTL that did like a whole sleeve on this ex of mine and i also know abunch of artist here in south beach.. i'll start looking into it see what art exhibitions are happening in those dates

i really like South beach... is not only what you see on TV and shit it's small you can walk everywhere. it has about the highest concentration of hot girls i have seen everywhere today for example is a perfect beach day in the middle of model season and there is a cool scene if you know the local is not only big clubs and shit... i really like it... job you would probably have to start working on that.. i know almost everyone down here in the industry... what is it that you work on the most?

thanks man, i really appreciate it.

Spent a lot of time there last year while my wife was working in Coconut Grove. South Beach area is great. But venturing inland can be not so pleasant. Some very dangerous areas, and you have to carry the maximum amount of car insurance possible. She was hit three times driving last year, within 8 months.
If you were to live there, follow CALLES' lead and stick to the beach.- if you lie in the beach you dont need to go anywhere... its very pleasantCALLES

Go to Versailles on Calle Ocho. Bad ass cuban food that doesn't cost very much. Also walk around Lincoln Rd. on S. Beach. Go to the Art Center ( http://www.artcentersf.org/ ). Have a hot dog at Dogma. Get a pizza at Andiamo. Have an apple martini at the Delano (if you drink of course).
Stay away from Bayside.
Have fun!! S. Fla is a lot of fun.
- THANKS I´LL DOtexascris
- Second those suggestions, except if you're on Lincoln Road go to David's Café. Dogma is great...CincodeMayo
- And Delano is a good place to hang for the night. I like Skybar, too. Oh! And eat at Joe's Stone Crab! A must!CincodeMayo

if you arrive early enough on the 9th head over to the design district and wynwood for the gallery walk, January's was a great turnout...

In the design district eat at
Michael's Genuine (American)
http://www.michaelsgenuine.com/
Domo Japones (Japanese)
http://www.domojapones.com/While there check out Marc Newson's commisioned piece at DASH, viewing it straight on looks like a normal gate but angled viewing displays the amazing design and technique...
- BRIDEAS0
also if you make it to the Design District take a ride north on Biscayne Boulevard to about NE 79th and then head back south to view some classic Miami Modern and an emerging area of dining and botiques and still some prostitutes and their customers.
The beach is great but the mainland is definately beginning to gain its own identity.
If you are into nitorgen infused drinks head over to Barton G's on the beach for a dining experience quite unique...
