[Flash 8 FLV playback component] Is there a way to mute it by default.
Something like myflvplayer.mute = true and not
myflvplayer.volume = 0

/**
Requires:
- FLVPlayback component on the Stage with an instance name of my_FLVPlybk
*/
import mx.video.*;
// You can change this value from 0 to 100
my_FLVPlybk.volume = 10;
my_FLVPlybk.contentPath = "http://www.helpexamples.com/fla...

Not sure about the component since I don't use it. I would try to create a sound object for the vid, and then just set the volume for it.
var mySound:Sound = new Sound();
mySound.setVolume(0);

create a custom function something like flvMute = function(soundSwitch:Boolean){
if(soundSwitch){
myflvplayer.volume = 100
} else {
myflvplayer.volume = 0
}
}

That's what i'm going to do now. I was trying to reuse things i already had but... well another thing on the wishlist for flash cs4 (if they didn't already solved on cs3)
for the record this seemed a solution

until the compiler shouted:
**Error** Scene=3A - Intro, layer=Actions, frame=1:Line 27: The member is private and cannot be accessed.
videoplayer._uiMgr._isMuted = true;

create a setter method to do it and the compiler error should disappear!
