CURL is bundled with every php install
the php and the mysql server are package installations, may have to fix a line of code in some config file for mysql, but thats it

Yes, as kalkal said above... XAMPP at http://www.apachefriends.org/en/…
I use it myself for testing things like Mambo, Wordpress and lately Magento. I am using Leopard (10.5) and as far as I know a lot of this stuff comes pre-installed, or maybe even with XCode. But I just installed XAMPP and have been using it for over a year with great success.
There are also a few others out there...
MAMP as someone else said, and one I just learned of called BitNami, but I believe it's still in Beta...
good luck.

wow. good inquiry i guess if you have not ever used an apple computer, but just thinking about the underlying system and it's core components, i would think the answer would be pretty apparent? regardless to that, here is link number one from your very thread title:

I use this on windows, it just sets everything up for you. Haven't tried it on OS X though. Its just a simple installer on windows though.
I think there are other apps that'll do this on OSX too, I just can't remember them.

I use PHP on my mac for development. The install can be a bit of a pain, but it really isn't any worse that dealing with the manual install in a Windows/Apache (much less a Windows/IIS) environment. The MySQL tools are quite nice in OS X as well as an added benefit.
