In use @ CES

Heh, that's brilliant.
I did this in a Spanish electronics store and hypermarket last year with my crappy keychain one - it's not as quick as the TV-BGone, but it was enough to bamboozle the poor store attendants. I had a rare moment of bonding with my Dad who was going redfaced in the corner, trying not to laugh.

funny stuff, but i think they should've drawn the line before the one guy's presentation. that was a bit too far. the tv walls though, classic.

He got his ass banned from CES for that stunt, and perhaps the staff of Gizmodo and their publisher as a whole.

Yup, here's the story of what happened next:
http://www.rlslog.net/gizmodo-re…"The editor of popular gadget website Gizmodo was banned from CES and Gawker Media, company behind that site, is most likely getting sued by CES organizers pretty soon."

we used to do that in high school with universal remotes. changing the channel from the back of the room while we were supposed to be watching something on the US civil war or something.

this is something a high school kid would do

I didn't find this funny.
probably Gizmodo will be banned or rejected from many future electronic shows as well as losing a lot of revenue from the companies stop advertising on their site. maybe funny as a high school student's stunt but not as a 'supposedly' professional journalist or whatever this idiot call himself as.
so childish. i would love to see them banned forever.
- nah they should just fire the guy who did it and call it a dayLlyod

oooh please meister,
i used to have the casio remote control watch in middle school
every time we had a video presentation, I'll fuck with the sounds and channel until the teacher gave up,
if he was stubborn I'll just plain turn off the tv,
I wish i could still find this model

I used to run from door to door on the design floor at VCUarts and point my Apple remote inside to trigger Front Row on every student's MacBook Pro with one click. Those were the days.

i have two. they are awesome. this is truly inspirational. i do agree there is a time and place and the presentation was a bit much.
