i was at a flash conference last night.
the presentor, Robin Silva, was demonstrating a new series of bitmap effects in conjunction with some physics library.
during the Q&A, a guy shouted out "yea, but will it run on my 486?", causing some extremely nerdy chuckles.
the robin silva guy then proceeded to take a book on his podium-thing and throw it directly at the guys face in the crowd. papers flew everywhre out of the book as well.
madness. violent people.

he threw the book at him. Flash bible.

weird

that guy shoulda got up and beat his ass until Mr. Silva issued an apology loud enough for people in the back row to hear it
get a sense of humor... what an asshat. we're talking about flash here, not solving the world hunger crisis or halting the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
- We are on the same wave length and both used the term "ass hat" ... hilarious!flavorful

I dig that about him

He threw a book at him? What kind of pussy shit is that? How in the world is this the first time he has ever been heckled or had a meeting/presentation interrupted before?
That shows what kind of a fucking ass hat he is.
Fuck him. I don't know even know him but he's a fucking douche.
If I was dude, I would probably take the book and make a joke, do something funny with it (like piss on it in front of everyone), or laugh hysterically as I walked up to the podium to see if had anything else to throw at me.

I would have thrown the book right back at him.

That is a fucking hilarious question. How could you not laugh at that? I don't care about the book I care that the guy didn't laugh at an amazing joke.

some people a row ahead of the 486-question-guy responded much more angrily to having a book thrown at their direction then the guy himself, so seemed to be completely overwhelmed with surprise (and i think he left too).
uncomfortable situation.

^ Haha, yea I didn't even think of that. Computer nerds (myself included) aren't know for the hand-to-eye coordination, or rather the ability to play any kind of sport.
I'm surprised the book didn't go backwards when he tried throwing it.

it's not violence until there's blood involved.

I so wish there was video

He should have peed on the guy

He threw a book at that hilarious question?!?!
I would have just shot the guy in the face.
- SteveJobs0
can someone videotape a reenaction of this for my amusement?
- TheBlueOne0
So did the guy keep the book? I would've.
- SteveJobs0
what would have been funny is if he'd immediately taken the book up to the speaker and held the book up asking for his autograph, with the exclamation mark being his fist extending the book toward his face at an accelerated rate.

maybe the book thrower had a bad day or something...
