Just finally upgraded to CS3 at work and I'm trying to weed us off of Quark for good. Anyway to import it straight into InD or do I need to purchase some kind of plug-in?

you should just be able to open it.

File > Open. You'll probly need to clean up the file a bit though.

Nah...it grey's out any Quark doc. I'm using Quark 7...can't even find an import option but open doesn't do a thing for me.

quark 4 only

But I can't save down to Quark 4 from Quark 7, can I?
- CincodeMayo0
By the way I'm in 6.5 not 7...not sure if that makes a difference.

I don't think you can save down that far--probably need some program from markwarez or something

you need Quark 6 and 5 to save to 4. Each version allows you to save down by one release version. E.g. Open a Quark 6 file in 6 and save as 5... Open that in Quark 5 and save as 4! It's a pain but it'll work.

Damn...I only have Quark 6.

This is exactly what I am in the process of doing. Who still has Quark 5 though??

I think there's a program that does it, but it costs around $200
- Yup. There is...and it seems to work pretty decently. Just sucks that it can import Q4 and not Q5 or Q6. Bullhonkey.CincodeMayo

Seriously. It's a dead app. So it my only option ponying up $200 for a plug-in?
- If it come down to it, I might be willing to split :)mrseaves
- That or rebuild the file I'm guessingscrap_paper
