I am no techy geek but is possible to text an image to your own site?

yes it is.
jred (sp?) was doing that on a fun site for a while. basically, works out to SMS-to-email address and having a script on that mail instance upload the image inline to previous, etc.

i used to do this with a t-mobile phone. under sms settings, i created a new connection and pointed it at a script on my server instead of the t-mobile gateway. the cool thing about doing it this way is that the gateway is what tracks your usage, so by bypassing it i sent all my pics for free!
