ive been looking for a cheap one to use in the studio so i can mockup something digital then project onto wall for murals / large scale paintings etc. most are too expensive for this.
- you can get a tracer for this and they are under $100radar

i had an inFocus x2 projector. not sure if they have that line anymore. it was great till the bulb exploded after 1yr of use. it's about $400 to replace. then it exploded again after another year. i decided to ditch it and get a HDTV. Once I switched to the plasma HDTV, i realized how much i was missing out. the quality and color is so much better that i'd never go back to a projector. i would only buy a projector if you have a dedicated home theater and spend about 5k into the equipment.

he's asking for office use - I have an inFocus & a Dell, I prefer the Dell - both are good though and I have switched 1 bulb in the inFocus after like 2+ years of use

for any projector at any price the bulb will never last longer than about 2000 hours max, usually less.

Thanks all. After some digging in the qbn filter I found this old post:
http://www.qbn.com/topics/437923…Unfortunately some of the suggested items are already discontinued, or expensive (>$2k). I now have refined my search to the best projector under $1k. Any further help?
