The year McGuire and Sosa were pushing for that record should have opened everyone's eyes...
... what's sad is that everyone LOVED that constant back and forth of the two players that year...... looking back (and this is when I was in St. Louis when he broke the record)... I wish I hadn't been so supportive and gung-ho about it all... I admit I got wrapped up in the whole deal.
All that situation did was pave the way for where things are at now... loads of ex-skinny guys w/bulbous meaty heads.

honestly, who cares? I mean, think about the amount of people that would have no qualms about making money off of their own personal drug and alcohol habits... These "steroid abusers" (LOL) keep the fans entertained and the commercial endorsements flowing. Sports fans are not as naive as these commissions paint them to be. Fuck Mitchell and his report. There's plenty of other things to investigate in this country. I don't advocate steroid usage by any means, but at the same time, if it was the difference between playing in the minors or battin' in Yankee stadium, well, sign me up.
- The records are all fake then. Babe Ruth wasnt on HGH. He was on whiskey and beer.mrdobolina
- unfortunately, times change. bigger, faster and stronger are what the teams, fans and advertisers want.Point5
- Eh I disagree.mrdobolina

Would you say the same for you kid? Sure, go ahead son, let me help you shoot up, just like your hero athletes, you don't have a chance if you don't.

Everyone should stop watching Baseball and just watch some HOCKEY
- AndyRoss0
Yeah, let 'em take whatever they want. Let's see what the human body is really capable of, no-holds-barred.
- AndyRoss0
Hey, wait a second. Little kids look up to these guys, and want to grow up and be like them. Don't they have a responsibility to them?
- AndyRoss0
Little kids? Where have you been? Nobody in sports cares about little kids any more! Don't be naive.
- AndyRoss0
Well, aren't these drugs illegal?
- AndyRoss0
Not with a prescription.
- AndyRoss0
So, if you have the "right" Doctor, you can take anything?
- AndyRoss0
Hell yes!
Now get out of the way. I came here to cheer the home team, boo the ump, and drink some beer. Don't try to turn this into a morality thing.

don't get absurd now. You're blowing what I said out of proportion. Just the same as I wouldn't hand my son a beer or pack of cigs or encourage him to have unprotected sex, I wouldn't feed him anabolics. Take a real look at sports, get to know these guys. It happens. This Mitchell report is only going to scratch the surface. We're talking about grown men making decisions about athletic enhancement drugs for their benefit.

I think the players should just run directly to second base from now on, fuck the rules ;)

it's cheating. it's doing something illegal to be better at something over someone else.
