I don't think they'll really want to buy up the smaller companies. They'll be making more money of the bandwidth used by the smaller companies sans the overhead. If I'm not mistaken they're public traded companies so that will jack their shares up. The only way I could see them buying someone out is if they started building new towers.

By the way, the guy who opened it up said that larger companies won't be able to buy up the smaller companies this time around. If he's lying...well....there's an interview with CBC to prove that he lied about it then.

Bay Street won't stand for that. Freedom, dontchaknow, means the right (of the rich) to buy whatever they want, regardless of what it means to the rest of us.
I'm not sure how much sense it makes if the new companies have to pay the big guys for the bandwidth.

- only in ontario. smoke signals get better reception out here on the westcoast.horton
