Anyone have any experience with buying web traffic? Not CPC or CPM but redirects or pop unders or interstitials?
What are the best ways that you have driven traffic in bulk to a clients site or your site?

The easiest way... add "Busty Amatures, Amature porn, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Free porn... etc" to your meta tags. :)

i think proper placement of the property on other content-related sites and organic traffic from fresh content and easily-linked content (deep linking) would provide a great basis for this. additionally, if you are not associated with a community site, there should be one you could 'buy' traffic from in the form of paind featured-content, or ad space.

We used GoTo (now Overture) in 2000-2001 to kick-start traffic on a new site, paying for clicks... and now would use AdWords if we needed it.. but this is CPC? What else is there if we really are talking about buying traffic, not just driving it?

there were / are a number of blogs that you can pay for articles about your site. I was looking into it for a client when !BANG! all blogs that were offering paid posts lost all of their pageRank overnight....
If you value SEO, I'd steer clear...
