Are we that failed of a species that we need a robot guitar to tune itself? Oh man..think of all the roadies without jobs!! Where will they get their drugs and STD's from? I ask you, would Slash have a robot guitar? I think not sir. I think not.

    • I want it purely for investment purposes._eh_1/2

Isn't the idea to be able to use alternate tunings while playing?

    • Keith Richards does it, and he does it without Robots.TheBlueOne

The great thing about this guitar is not that it tunes itself. Tuning, in and of itself, is not that big a deal.

It's the fact that it can change to open/special/exotic tunings rapidly. Like, in the middle of a song.

This makes for real creative possibilities, heretofore unexplored.

You've been able to do this for ages with synth guitars. If I was looking for this I'd get a VG Stratocaster. far more versatile me thinks.

Ah these kids today with their robot guitars and digital modeling amps and your fancy ass Pro Tools. In my day we'd walk to the rehearsal studios with old fashion guitars lugging Marshall stacks in the snow. Up hill. Both ways. And we'd make real demo tapes. On cassettes.

The next thing will be for them to add cheese drum beats like the old casios. Rumba, Salsa, etc.MrRemote2/2

AndyRoss - this is exactly what I was thinking. Mid song I can change tuning, which is HUGE.
MrRemote - actually it's a pretty nice idea, maybe try playing guitar first...

well, agree with that, robot Guitar does sound pretty damn stupid. It should just be a classic GoldTop with automatic tuning.
