iPhones do come without contract. Unlike other phones, you activate them and link with a plan at home rather than sign the contract at the store before getting the handset. This leaves room for home unlocking.

...and they're not all that in any case!

Please do not elaborate on that any further James, as I'm impatiently waiting for a registered Royal Mail package now..
- email not as good as blackberry... ipod is ace though... and not having two devices is good

It's crap. Looks good, but what a fucking rip off.
Pay particular attention to:
"As well as laying down the £269 in the store, you may be asked to pay £100 to O2 as a deposit. Plus you must pay two months of the contract, so you may well end up paying £439 in the first month of owning this phone. Compared to the usual deal of paying, well,‘nothing’, this may be asking too much of the UK public."
- PS. The crux of this review is that they slag it off, then give it 4 out of 5. Weird.Raniator

I've still got 7 months on my blackberry contract, I think I'll check out new phones when that's expired but the new nokia's look sweet as is the new blackberry.

- The iPhone is nice, but I agree it looks fragile, my 1 month old phone has massive gouges in itmrdobolina
