- New Super Mario Bros., if you can believe it.i_monk
- I can belive it! Thanks!JamesBoynton

Brain Training's quite amusing - I've never been into sudoku and things like that, but it's quite good to get the ol'noodle working. Mario Kart and Bomberman are musts, assuming you've got access to more than one DS.

I was looking at Zelda and New Super Mario Bros.
- Phantom Hourglass is some good funBabySnakes
- yupp probably the best DS game so far.ossianboren
- I would get one just for Zelda.Concrete

That's all you need! Just download the games off the internets. If you feel wrong about it you should know that it's a lot easier to handle your games this way. If you find something you like just buy it and throw it away so you'll support the developers a little.
- oh yeah you need a micro SD card with this. they're cheap though.ossianboren

i bought a r4ds from digitmartz.com and it came with a 1gb sd mirco card. for about 70 bucks. pretty sweet deal if you ask me. and it's even lower in price now. like around 50 bucks. i just recently traded an old ipod to a friend for a 2gb micro sd card so now i have rom city rocking all over the place. :D
- "a 2gb micro sd card so now i have rom city rocking all over the place" Whaaa?Dancer

Anything Final Fantasy will do ^^
- Final Fantasy 12 is rubbish - They've turned it into Command and Conquer - I can't bugger off in the middle of a fight any more.st33d
- FFIII was pretty rubbish too. Crystal Chronicles and FFIV will probably be good though. Dunno if i like or dislike XII yet though.ossianboren

Allright so you want a beginner's guide to the R4DS?
Let's see. To start off here's what you need:
• A Nintendo DS
• R4DS (they cost around $40)
• Micro SD card (those tiny little cards you can find in many cellphones)
• An SD-card reader (the R4DS comes with a cheap reader, it's rubbish so it might break though)How to use!
Download the latest R4DS-firmware from the r4ds-website, or just use the one that came with the R4DS on a CD.Download some games off the internets, if you need to find some, the people over at romulation.net are willing to help, they don't host any games, but they have links. The game size can vary from 8 to 128 mb, but usually they're around 32mb or 64mb. So make sure you buy a hefty Micro SD-card if you don't want to go to your computer everytime you want to switch games.
Before the next step you might want to reformat the SD-card.
Next you put the games (unzipped, they should have the extension .nds) and the firmware on the micro sd card.Next you put the micro sd card in the tiny slot in the R4DS-card. And then you put the R4DS in the DS like any other game.
Boot the DS and you're good to go! Play any DS game you want for free, online, offline, however you want.

zelda is pretty cool!

I've been playing phantom hourglass and tony hawk proving grounds and I have to say that it's as much fun as ocarina of time.

Zelda is the best game ever ! And I really enjoyed New Super Mario too.

I got something called a DS Linker and it just lets you put NDS roms on the mem card and off you go, no firmware updates or anything.
DS games are pretty crap but that brain training is fun
