If i connect my ipod to my mac via firewire (i'm at work and i don't have the usb adaptor) will it work like the usb or i should do something to sync it with iTunes, or it will just charge?

Last iPod that worked with firewire was 4Gen. Yes, you can still charge the newer ones through firewire.

Well my friend, you are just another victim of clever marketing, I'm afraid.
I must add though.. my ipod touch arrives today from Boston, yeah!
Cheap dollar I salute ya!

Rafalskii, did you buy your ipod touch off ebay?
Very good idea you got goin there, or do you have a friend sending it as a 'gift' through their customs?

A workmate was on a training there this week, I ordered on Amazon and they shipped to the Boston office. She's smuggling stuff for our whole team :)
Ebay would be pointless as I'd most likely have to pay vat when it came in mail + a fee for vat adding service (that fee is the funniest part)
With a macbook though, it can be even worth flying there for a weekend

Mmmmm right enough, get a ryan air flight and buy one duty free!!

Sending as 'gift' does fuck all as customs still pick a few out of every ten to apply import duty to. You can protest but if you're cheating the system and you're unlucky enough to get caught, you're fucked.

She's not coming to the office today, I won't have it till Monday..
