Hey what's the legality of no refund/no return policy for a retail web operation? I pre-ordered an item (laptop) three months ago. It came out in the stores two weeks ago and the company I ordered it from is still unsure of when they will get it to me. I told them to cancel the order (they already have charged my credit card) and they refuse. I told them I will be returning the item unopened to them when I receive it and the guy said "Tough luck pal we don't accept returns."
What's my legal recourse here? I need a new laptop for a trip and I'm out the cash...

BBB for starters? But they don't have any real power. Small claims court?

call your cc company- ask for a chargeback.

call your CC company and have them issue a chargeback. They will refund the money and deal with the company, and it will cost the company money, it used to be about 25$. But that's the key word to use when dealing with places like that. Say chargeback and they usually stop being dicks.
