James, that 'family choice' character sounds just like the web monkey where I use to work, I strange little man who had his head in coding books and very little knowledge of design, so when it came to aesthetics or things that add value to a site, he always attacked it, and it was this line that made my skin crawl, an all too familiar sound...
"Maybe it'll impress some visitors, but I'm guessing it'll annoy just as many"I love your site... simple, functional, nice navigation. Geeks like that trawl web/blog sites looking to throw spanners in the works, I mean if those sites he links to his name, belong to him, then... oh my god web guru!!

You should take a screen grab and post it here. If we keep posting their web address sooner or later google will pick it up.

from the beandipdesign site. wouldn't you want to change the copy at least?
'The Mill have been a client of mine for nearly 10 years, from their very first site, to a design in-house, when I helped run the interactive lab there for two years to when I developed this latest version at Engage, and continue to look after at mimeArtist.
The site works to fit around how The Mill works as a company, with different workflows coming together to create a site that is updated almost everyday.

Copied, of course, but the 4Random site has each section-within-a-section scrolling vertically. And diagonally for each section (first level).
- search '4random' on google and look at the second result.omgitsacamera

mootools picks up on the position of items... so the vertical scrolling is automatic... might actually use it for the blog I'm building within the site :)
- Aye, I do quite like their vertically-scrolling sub-sections. Though not when they scroll at 45ºdetritus
- yeh when you change categories... you'd need to spoof the new position of the next category so it appears a horizontal movemimeartist

im trying to adapt it

(now mootools works on me)
problem with the left: pixel values and bullet points on the recent section...
- mimeartist0
why do that? other than to piss me off? moron
