What's the best way to break em down?
Why can't I have that palindrome name on it's side? It reads both ways and it really makes so much sense with what you're trying to do. You can't read it when it's horizontal anyway!
Oh, what's that, you have 30 years of experience?
Sigh...

que?

Guess what i wanted to say was, do you have any favored techniques for making clients cry? Sorry, just frustrated with experience being an excuse for making things worse.

Gotta show 'em who's boss, brother.
Tell them you had your monitor at a 90 degree angle when you got the logo, thus it is impossible for you to flip it right to its place.
After you're done fighting over that, tell them that if they keep bothering you with insignificant shit -after all you are the designer who knows whats what- tell him you're gonna come over and punch his wife in the ovary.

Just keep showing them work that scares them.
Have the safe version as a backup.

show them what they want first and foremost, or get a middle man to present your work.

but on serious note..i you can't explain to a client why you did something, your are walking on thin ice...

I have explained myself. very well. Hence experience being the apparent victor (excuse).
You don't know how appropriate that image is! Made my day. Thank you.

Did you actually do what they asked, look at if for a while and rethink your position? i've found that trying it out changes my stubbornness once in a while. which is often good. sometimes they're right, sometimes not.
but once you've done it and show both to them side by side, you can often talk them out of it.

yeah, do what they ask for and do something you'd like, show 'em and explain.
