i went to a gun show today, saw a lot of civil war, wwI, and wwII collectors pieces, some in excellent condition.
i went because i was looking to buy a Taurus .45 24/7 Pro, just a 10+1 hammerless around $400-$500
http://www.taurususa.com/product…but once i saddled up to this bad boy and had a look across the coliseum through it's scope

i've decided that the price difference is totally worth it.the 82A1/M107 is officially on my list of things to purchase in the next 12 months. maybe a birthday present for next july
anyone else play responsibly with irresponsible weapons? if so, what do you have?

nice, my friend has that, he's a bit off with all his guns. But that thing is a monster. After shooting my other buddies Sig P220 I'm confused as to what I want to purchase. I've loved the HK USP for a long time. I've not fired a taurus yet, but have heard good things.

guns are retarded.
at the moment this trial is going on here:
Hans Van Themsche (born 1988) is a Belgian agriculture student, who at age 18 shot three people (two of whom died) in the city of Antwerp before he was stopped by police.
Van Themsche had been caught smoking at his boarding school on 9 May 2006, and was facing likely expulsion.
On the 11th, he travelled to Antwerp and legally purchased a hunting rifle from a local gun dealer. About ten minutes before noon, he began his rampage in the city centre with a shot in the back of a woman of Turkish descent who was seated six metres away on a bench reading a book; Songul Koç was severely wounded. He reloaded his rifle and continued. Passing a pregnant Malian nanny, Oulemata Niangadou, and her two-year-old Caucasian charge Luna Drowart, he turned and shot each of them in the back at close range, killing both instantly. While he moved on, presumably looking for more victims, Van Themsche was intercepted by a passing police officer, who held him at gunpoint and ordered to surrender the rifle. After Van Themsche's refusal to put his gun down and upon a suspicious movement, the officer shot him once, hitting him in the stomach and neutralizing him.every talk about guns gives now a bitte aftertaste...

Nothing says 'get the fuck outta my way' better than a .50 caliber rifle.

I hate that argument. People kill people, but guns help them kill a whole lot more people a whole hell of a lot faster.
That being said, I play with my weiner every chance i get.
wait for it.......
Wait.... that's not a weapon....?
:D

seriously czawada, we we're out back shooting, and he says, I'll be back. Next thing we know, he fucking sets up the .50 cal next to his house all sniper like and takes out all our targets in 2 shots. First shot scared the shit outta me.

I'm with Gucci. Except for the "weiner" part. I think.
- slappy0
I'm with Gucci too, not a gun fan.
- Gucci0
so slappy plays with his weiner too? awesome.

Despite having a reputation around this parts as some sorta pinko commie I'm fairly pro-gun. I've been meaning to learn how to shoot for a while. Living in NYC makes gun ownership rather stupid, but if I wanted one around the house I'd probably go with a shotgun..in my eyes far more reliable for self protection than a pistol. But I'd really like to learn how to use them better than I already do. If I got into it I'd probably geek out a bit on it as well...

No need for guns. A hug is all the arms we need.

TBO, i never cared much for guns until a few years ago a polite young african american male came into my job to rob it of merchandise and money. he thought the best way to get my cooperation would be to put a mossberg in my mouth. this guy was clumsy and just as nervous as i was.
ever since then i wanted to learn how to use, fire, clean, and assemble every gun someone would be kind enough to let me learn on. i am not the guy grabbing guns, shooting off a few rounds, and tossing them in the closet. I don't drink so getting drunk and shooting shotguns in the country is not my bag of tea.
I shoot competitively with my family in a shooting range that we are members of. My aim is to learn how to properly fire, learn to compensate for and adjust sights at this stage.
the reason for learning the working s and firing methods of the weapons is not meant to be used against anyone in a violent manner, but only to be prepared if i am ever placed in a situation where someone might want to control me with a weapon. I feel the experience I have gathered myself will help me maintain composure and control of a situation like the first if it were to occur again.
As far as wanting to own a .50 caliber sniper rifle... Well that's just because I can afford it, as far as things you buy maintaining value, this has every car in it's price range beat, and with an effective firing range of a mile, the effort of putting together a group, finding a suitable range, setting up, and practicing, i'll probably rarely ever get it out. Well way less than my handgun anyway. :D

Was the fact that he was african american important to your story v6?
- joyride0
why stop at african american... why not ask why was the fact that it was a male important to the story?
Why did he call the shot gun a mossburg? It's just a detail of the story, yet, you basically just called him a racist for it. And I'm sure that is farthest from the truth.
- skt0
did i? you can read into it what you want, i just asked him a question...
i mean, he didn't tell us the colour of the guys clothing but he did tell us the colour of his skin.

black males commit most of the violent crime in the US. especially in urban areas. I plan on buying a shotgun for my next home.

I grew up around guns; could shoot better at the age of 10 than anyone around me...I feel that my experience with guns taught me enough to know that they are stupid and most people who want one for "protection" are not being close to realistic.
Hunting rifles I understand, hand guns are idiocy.
