I got some websites that I have done for the army, I hate the way they look but they have won me 3 awards.
I am really reluctant to put them in my folio as its oging to look crap as a result.
The client is the army so its not easy to design with all the restrictions they want plus the add more test and make logo large and caps locks ect, what do I do?

I think you answered your own question.

If you don't like em and don't want to put them in your portfolio cause they look shite don't do it.

I dont want to put them in my folio but its the biggest work I have done so far and its got awards.

add circles

i think you're just fine with the awards. say you did it for your country, not recognition. then go donate some money as anonymous somewhere too

Maybe take several screen captures, and juxtapose a new composition from it?

just list the awards, dont list what site they're for.

BluejamUse em. They're not as bad as you think.

What the hell, I was expecting something absolutely horrific. Those are not bad at all man. Looks like something a client would love.

stopping working for the army and JOIN THE ARMY. that is what you should do. they don't care what your portfolio is and you are already taking orders from them!

I might be wrong (actually not on this one) but I believe a portfolio's purpose is to sell your work to clients and showcase what you can do or have done. So, think about it from the client's perspective, we as designers know what they want, like and are willing to accept. Mix all those elements you must...
