What's the best Mac image/asset browser out there? Bridge is a beast and iView Pro is too Microsoft.
Any suggestions?

Oh snap. Now I see the Bridge post. Who knew?
Well, the question still stands. No good alternatives so far.

iView MediaPro (pre Microsoft) isnt very Microsoft and it is the best...
It got awful (immediately) when Microsoft rebranded it as Expression Media and redesigned the toolbar to make it harder to use...

or if you want something for a larger workgroup that is more server-based, then Extensis Portfolio

It's got a horrible UI. It's barely usable. It's Mac hostile, IMO.
If Bridge actually worked, it would be great, but it is too feature-rich and bloated to run smoothly.

lightroom. hands down.

depends what you want to do... Lightroom is worth a look. Nothing matches iView if you want to sort/label thousands of image sets, build web galleries to custom templates, do IPTC annotation, batch rename/resize etc, but if you aren't doing that stuff you might want something else...
