I think that would be ideal. Besides, if you are not on internet, what ever font you use will remain as font cache

i'd love to find a better way to do font licensing, but this isn't it. folks aren't comfortable with info from their computer going to a software company. look at how well the latest MS activation scheme went over.

i think there is always way around the MS act method
but as computing becomes more ubiquitous it would become easier
Few companies have tried server side computer where you download the apps you want via your browser and using with your browser format.
IBM and Oracle have tried but failed due to computing power and internet bandwidth
Adobe has released an online app based Photoshop lite which you can edit images on
I think this will eventually happen where computer is just a shell that you carry and use everything via data connection and compiling software on the fly.
most of the designers get their fonts from work. I think thats where it needs start.
