the one retires under one name and comes back with a different name.... same thing happened in bball and MJ. left 23 and came back as 45 then switched back to 23. In the end its all publicity that transcends all means of communication to the point that NT has its own thread...

i think some of kanye's stuff is good but i just never liked it. i'm not into 50 cent's tunes at all. in the end i dont really give a shit who wins. i mean what are they going to win anyways? and what was the reason for the fight? .....
screw this i'm better off doing my laundry...

I don't get Kanye West.
You see him in interviews and he's cool, very laid back and generally humble. Then at large events - like award shows - it's like he's possessed by the spirit of Martin Luther King!
Can you stop pulling the race card please, you complete nipple! What does race have to do with a music video? Take off the comic book/Dame Edna shades and stick to what you do best.
As for 50 - is his name really curtis? - cent, can someone shoot him, PROPERLY.
We want hiphop back.

50 cents older shit was banging before he went hollywood. The dudes new album is pretty boring same old same. Same style same stories.
Kaynes album i was really impressed with. I have listened to it non stop and dude is a great story teller. Listen to the track big brother if you get a chance, its pretty dope how he feels about jay-z

kanye's new cd is all about how much better he is then everyone else. complete narcissistic album.
50s new cd talks about guns and money and shooting people while being a thug.
they're both horrible and uninspired.

(Sep 14 07, 02:25)I totally agree.
To be honest, Kanye's music has always been more appealing to me, but his personality bothers me enough that I'm not so enthusiastic to check out his music right when it comes out.
I've never liked 50 Cent either. He has had his fair share of making a big fit at award shows just b/c he didn't win something.
That being said, Ellen just started and Kanye is on! heh.
- Jaline0
Hmm...I kind of hate him less now after seeing him on Ellen. He talked about EVERYTHING, and it was honest. He's obviously conceited (he mentioned he "would do anything..." meaning that he would do anything for the limelight, as stated in his song, "Stronger", heh), but in a way that makes sense. Basically, he likes doing his own thing and wants MTV to let him "rock out" like they let everyone else do during presentations and performances.
The part that made the most sense was when he talked about Britney and her performance. In a nutshell, he mentioned that: "she wasn't ready", and the MTV awards are supposed to be about music. She hasn't done anything for music in the past few years, so the only reason she performed to open the show was for MTV to make money (also since he asked them if he could open with "Stronger" and they denied him). He feels bad for her, and someone should've stopped her from performing, especially since they have practice rehearsals before the live show.
See??! He does seem okay in his interviews. There's a combination of conceit + attention + wanting to fix the world thingy going on here whenever we see him in large groups of people.
- tasty0
He's so full of himself
but he writes good music
and MTV isnt about the M any more
