august 25-28th 2005
give me some new stats please treefucker... er treehuggers.
- ********0
you think it changed much the last two years?
- mrdobolina0
he doesnt care d/e.
- k0na_an0k0
i'm a small test group designerror, but i see more news on global warming these days than i do gay marriage. but i believe much of those stats will change depending on what part of the country you go to.
800 people in southern missouri will probably give you the opposite score than 800 people in ny.
- ********0
isn't gay marriage the same as illegal immigration?

Educated Americans are too busy to answer pollsters.
- k0na_an0k0
do any of you guys remember the site that was posted here a while ago that allowed you to itemize all the 'green' things you've done with your home/car/work/etc and gave you tips on other things you could do as well?
it wasn't on treehugger. maybe a .gov or .org site?
- tommyo0
I think it's this one you're referring to?
- ********0
treehugger.gov?
naahhh - that'll be the day.
- tommyo0
oops no wrong one.
- k0na_an0k0
haha!
no witt. it was a white background site and you could click 'home' and it gave you questions you could answer. like 'how many fluorescent energy saving bulbs have you put in your house this year?'
a. 1-5
b. 5-10and so on. it was super cool. in the end it said i was saving about 3000+ a year on energy costs.
- ********0
i remember. it was an gov agency site (Energy Efficency something agency) site with calculators for home planning etc. None of my biz so i did not bookmarked.

got to love misinterpreted data.
the only thing you can gain from this chart is that out of those issues presented, only 31% of the sample would not vote for a candidate if his/her stance differed from the respondent's.
what this does not say is what the stance in question is (pro envornment, tougher regulations, more taxes, de-regulation, etc...).
compare "the environment" to other issues presented in the survey and you will also see a difference. all of the others take a pro/con, for/against stance, whereas nobody runs openly against the environment (and before the bush bashers jump in you must concede even he has made statements and policy that are pro-environment and has never openly denounced the issue, unlike abortion or gay marriage).
the major problem with this survey, and the "green" movement in general is that there is no one defining issue everyone can rally around or agree about. people continue to argue about global warming and its causes, yet no one is leading an effort to unite all the disparate factions into one centralized movement.
so in closing, please don't generalize over misinterpreted data from some bullshit survey about my fellow country men. that is all.

As an American - i am only concerned about one thing.
Abortions in Gay Marriages.
